Award-winning flamenco guitarist Daniel Martinez returns to the UK with the premiere of 'Al Compas del Querer', a personal flamenco production.
Daniel Martinez is back at The Halls on Friday 26 February, bringing the premiere of his new album and production, Al Compas del Querer. He's an award-winning flamenco guitarist, and this is the first time the new material will be played live.
If the name doesn't ring a bell, the company he's touring with has been working its way across the UK since 2023. They've put on three shows so far: his debut album Art of Believing won the Herald Angel Award at the Edinburgh International Festival; Andalucia picked up five-star reviews; and Art of Andalucia toured throughout 2025. The company's reach has grown beyond Britain too, with dates in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Ireland, and well over 120,000 audience members across those three years. Al Compas del Querer is the next chapter in that run.
Martinez describes this one as a deeply personal and emotionally charged production, so it's less of a standard recital and more of a full-stage show. The night is built around the new album, and since it's the premiere, this is one of the first chances to hear it played out in the room rather than on record. It's a flamenco guitar at its core, so you'll get that distinct, rhythmic sound that defines the style.
