Country music 'Musician's Music Night' where attendees bring their own instruments to play with local musicians, hosted by Mike Delph.
Country Music Band Night returns to St Faiths Centre on Tuesday 27 October, from 20:00 to 22:30. It's a regular night rather than a one-off, and if you can't make this one, there are plenty more to follow: it runs again on 10 and 24 November and 8 December this year, then continues into the new year on 12 and 26 January.
It's worth knowing what the night is actually about before you head down, because it's not your typical open mic. It's described as a 'Musician's Music Night' rather than an open mic, and that distinction matters. The idea is that you bring your own instrument and play country music alongside other musicians from Norwich and Norfolk in a friendly, comfortable venue. It's not the place to turn up with backing tracks; the focus is on live playing and playing together.
That said, you don't have to be one of the people playing to get anything out of it. You're just as welcome to join in as you are to simply sit back and listen. Whether you're coming to get stuck in or just to hear what's happening, the door is open to both. Mike Delph hosts the night and provides the PA, so the sound is looked after while the music comes from the room.

It's held at St Faiths Centre on Manor Road, NR10 3LF, in Norwich. There's no charge to attend, so you can drop in for the full evening or just pop in for a bit. The night runs from 20:00 to 22:30, and as mentioned, it's a recurring thing, so if you miss this one, you've got 10 and 24 November, 8 December, and 12 and 26 January to catch it.
