Horror film-inspired drag cabaret hosted by Liv and Bella Bestia, with drag performances based on classic horror movies and a Halloween costume theme.
Liv brings her horror-inspired drag cabaret, SLASHER!, to Norwich Arts Centre on Friday 30 October, just a few days before Halloween. It's hosted by Liv, one of the city's drag royalty, and co-produced with Bella Bestia, who she bills as the 'twink of the living dead'.
The night is set up as a movie marathon of undead divas, demons and scream queens, with each drag performance built around a classic horror film. The line-up takes that literally: Aiden Strickland takes on Silence of the Lambs, Cake Boi does ALIEN, Patricia Cwunt handles Nightmare on Elm Street, Ren Carnation takes Black Swan, Nia Death Xperience does PSYCHO, and Vayne rounds it out with Frankenstein. Between those, you've got Liv and Bella Bestia running the show.
It's a seated event, and there's a strong Halloween theme running through the whole thing. You're encouraged to turn up in costume, and the best-dressed are invited up on stage, so there's a reason to put some effort into your outfit rather than just showing up. If you're not into the dressing-up part, you can still just sit back and watch the performances.
