An evening with author Kate Mosse, hosted by Kate Sawyer, closing Norwich Book Festival 2026 with book sales and a signing.
Kate Mosse is at the Octagon Chapel on Friday 30 October, closing the Norwich Book Festival 2026. It's an evening around folklore, nature and creativity, and it's the final event of the festival. After the talk, there'll be book sales and a signing with her.
Mosse is an award-winning novelist, playwright, performer, campaigner and non-fiction writer. She was the founder director of the Women's Prize for Fiction and the Women's Prize for Non-Fiction, and she started the #WomanInHistory campaign. She's a visiting professor at the University of Chichester and a Trustee of the British Library, and she was awarded a CBE in January 2024 for services to literature, women and charity. Her writing draws on the landscapes of southwest France, Holland, South Africa and her native Sussex.
She'll be joined by host Kate Sawyer, an actor, producer and novelist whose debut The Stranding won the East Anglian Book Award for fiction and was adapted for BBC Radio 4. The two will talk through folklore, nature and creativity, the themes that run through Mosse's work.
