Five-piece covers band Addictive Mix plays a free gig of mash-ups and medleys of classics from the 1980s to today.
Addictive Mix are playing The Brickmakers on Sunday 8 November, with the set starting at 3pm. They're a five-piece professional band fronted by Kyra on vocals, and they describe themselves as a fusion of music and a top-tier covers act.
The set is built around floor-filling classics from the 1980s to now, but they don't just play them straight. They rework them into mash-ups, medleys, anthems and power ballads, so you'll hear familiar songs tied together in ways you might not expect. The repertoire draws from a wide spread of artists: Bruno Mars, Beyoncé, Queen, Aretha Franklin, Bon Jovi, Tina Turner and Amy Winehouse are all in the mix, so the afternoon should run through a fair few decades and genres without staying in one place for too long.
Outside of the public stage, the band is a regular at weddings, corporate functions and private events, so this is a chance to catch them in a proper venue. It's a Sunday afternoon slot, which keeps it easy if you're not one for late nights.
