Adam Riches, the Edinburgh Comedy Award winner, brings his Christmas stand-up show 'How the Bean Saved Christmas' to Norwich Theatre Stage Two.
Adam Riches brings How the Bean Saved Christmas to Norwich Theatre Stage Two on Saturday 12 December, with the show starting at 8:00 pm. It's an hour long with no interval, so you're in and out in one go. Riches, an Edinburgh Comedy Award winner, returns to the role of 'Sean Bean' for this one, and he casts the audience as 'A Bunch of B*stards'.
This is an entirely new production, not a revival. His 2025 show was named a Must-See Christmas Show by The Independent, The Times, Time Out and The Guardian, and it made Chortle's 10 Most Memorable Comedy Gigs of 2025. Critics have called the work ingenious and joyous, and Chortle described him riding an inflatable reindeer and booting mince pies into the crowd.
The show lands at Stage Two, the auditorium behind Norwich Theatre Royal, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Over the decade, it's worked as a Theatre of Sanctuary, welcoming people with lived experience of migration through projects like 3 Migrant Women, and running the Creative Ageing programme. It also houses the theatre's artist development, giving emerging artists space to test ideas through Scratch Nights.
