Free Saxon tribute night with Paul Quinn playing Saxon classics and stories, moderated by Harrison Young, with Adam and the Hellcats and Unatainium.
The Brickmakers has a Saxon tribute night on Wednesday 28 October, built around Paul Quinn, a Saxon legend who'll be playing the band's classics and telling stories from the road. He's joined by his good friend and fellow member of The Cards, Harrison Young, who's also worked with DORO and UDO; Young moderates the evening, so it's as much about the memories as the music.
Adam and the Hellcats are on the bill as a tribute act carrying on the legacy of Saxon, and the night is rounded out by local act Unatainium, from the Norfolk Blues Society. It's a full line-up for one night, with Quinn's stories and songs at the centre.
The Brickmakers is one of Norwich's most iconic venues, and it's got three stages to its name. The main room is mostly home to local covers bands and is usually free entry; the B2 venue is a grassroots space for up-and-coming acts across metal, rock, pop, punk and folk; and there's an outside stage used during the summer. This one is in the main room.
