A 90-minute country music show led by singer-songwriter Maria Jordan and her six-piece band, from classics to modern hits.
A Country Night in Nashville comes to The Halls on Friday 18 December, bringing a full evening of country music to St Andrew's Plain. It's billed as 'One Night In Nashville', and the whole thing is led by singer-songwriter Maria Jordan, who'll be on stage with her six-piece band.
The set works its way through the history of the genre, starting with the classics from Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson, and moving through to more modern hits by Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris and Keith Urban. Jordan mixes in her own original music alongside those names, and the show runs for 90 minutes.
Jordan isn't doing it alone, either. She's backed by a band of established songwriters, musicians and producers, and the whole thing is described as an authentic Nashville experience. It's a good way to hear the different eras of country in one go, from the old-school songwriting of Cash and Parton to the more polished sound of Musgraves and Urban.
