Stand-up comedy show Back At It by John Bishop at Utilita Arena.
John Bishop is back on stage at the Utilita Arena on Thursday 6 May 2027, with his new stand-up show Back At It. It's a straightforward one: just Bishop and a microphone, returning to the thing he says he loves most — standing in front of a crowd and making people laugh.
If you've followed his work, you'll know he's spent a fair few years doing almost everything else. He's presented John Bishop's Australia, John Bishop's Britain, John Bishop's Only Joking, The John Bishop Show, The John Bishop Christmas Show and John Bishop's Gorilla Adventure, all on BBC1 or ITV1. More recently, he presented John Bishop's Ireland for ITV1 and four series of John Bishop: In Conversation With..., where he sat one-on-one with some of the biggest household names in the world. Between the TV presenting, the stage acting, the podcast hosting, the dog walking and decorating the spare room, he's been away from the stand-up circuit for a while. Back At It is him returning to it.
It's a solo show, so the whole night is just him. The title says it all: he's getting back to the stand-up that started it all, rather than the presenting and the documentaries that have filled the gaps since. If you've seen him live before, you know the format — just him and his stories, told to a room full of people.
