The world's best-loved musical returns with Debbie McGee leading the class as Miss Lynch on the UK & Ireland tour, featuring hits like 'Summer Nights' and 'You're the One That I Want'.
Grease is coming to the Theatre Royal for a run from Monday 10 to Saturday 15 May 2027. It's part of a brand-new UK and Ireland tour, and this production is directed by Nikolai Foster, the Artistic Director of Curve. Debbie McGee is in the cast as Miss Lynch, the teacher who spends most of the show trying to keep the Rydell High class in line.
The story is one you'll know: leather-clad greaser Danny and girl-next-door Sandy are reunited when she transfers to Rydell High for her senior year. The score is full of the hits you're expecting, with 'Summer Nights', 'Greased Lightnin'', 'Hopelessly Devoted to You' and 'You're the One That I Want' all in there. It's billed as the world's best-loved musical, and this version is described as grittier and more glamorous than ever.
There are a few things to keep in mind before you book. The show is recommended for ages 7 and above, as it contains adult themes and language, flashing lights, strobes, loud noises and pyrotechnics. If you're bringing younger ones, that's a good one to have on your radar.
