The Jungle Giants are playing Newcastle Racecourse on Boxing Day, 26 December 2026. The Australian indie dance band is taking over the venue under the banner 'Racing. Summer. Live music. One GIANT Boxing Day', and tickets are on sale now.
It's a bit of a shift for the racecourse, which usually has its eyes on the track. The announcement comes as the venue prepares for its Spring Racing Carnival, running Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September. That carnival will feature a 'Golden Horseshoe Hunt', with five Golden Horseshoes hidden around Newcastle and more than A$900 in prizes up for grabs each day. So, while the Giants are the big draw for Boxing Day, the racecourse has plenty on the go well before then.
