TEDxNewy final 2026 event with inspiring speakers, emerging voices, local artists and community activations under the theme 'Signal'.
TEDxNewy returns to the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music on Saturday 24 October for its final event of 2026. This one runs under the theme Signal, and it's a full day that brings together inspiring speakers, emerging young voices, local artists and interactive community activations. The whole thing is built around the idea of broadcasting: the organisers are celebrating Newy legends whose ideas and impact have travelled far beyond the region, and the day is a look at what happens when ideas born locally reach a wider audience.
It's a broad mix on the bill. You'll have the established speakers sharing their work alongside younger, emerging voices, so the day doesn't just lean on one perspective. Local artists will be involved too, and the community activations mean there's more to do between the talks than just sit and listen. It's a full day's program rather than a single session.

There's a bit of context to the scale of it, too. The previous edition ran three separate events and welcomed more than 200 new people into the TEDxNewy community, so this final 2026 date is coming off a busy run. If you're planning to go, it's worth getting in early: first-release ticket purchasers get a limited-edition TEDxNewy event t-shirt. The whole thing takes place on Saturday 24 October at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music in Newcastle.
