Queens of the Stone Age

Queens of the Stone Age are playing the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 16 December, their first show in the region since 2024. They're touring as a five-piece: Josh Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore.

It's a big bill, with two special guests on the night. Primus, the US funk-metal outfit, are joining them, and Tropical Fuck Storm, the Australian experimental art-punk quartet, take the other slot. Between the three, you've got a US rock band, a US funk-metal act and an Australian art-punk group all on the same stage.

This is one of seven outdoor and arena shows on the tour, and it's their first time back in the area in two years. If you've followed them for a while, you'll know the current line-up — Homme, Van Leeuwen, Shuman, Fertita and Theodore — is the one that's been touring and recording together. The show is at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 16 December.
