Australian rock legend Phil Jamieson brings his PJ AIR solo tour to Hamilton Station Hotel for his first ever performance there.
Phil Jamieson is playing the Hamilton Station Hotel on Thursday 30 July, his first ever show at the venue. He's touring under the name PJ AIR, and it's part of a solo run he's taking across the country this year.
If you know the name, you know him as the voice of Silverchair, the band that took a Newcastle kid and put him on the world stage. For a long time, that was the only version of him we heard — the frontman of a massive rock outfit. This is different. PJ AIR is his solo project, and this tour is about him stepping out on his own rather than as part of a band. It's a solo show, so it's just him up front.
The tour is taking him to venues across Australia, and the Hamilton Station Hotel date is a bit of a homecoming. He's played plenty of stages over the years, but this is the first time he's performed here, so it's a new one for him. The show is on Thursday 30 July, and it's part of the wider PJ AIR tour he's running throughout 2026.

If you've followed his work since the early days, this is a chance to hear him in a completely different setting. It's a solo bill, with Jamieson as the main feature of the night. The date is Thursday 30 July at the Hamilton Station Hotel in Newcastle.
