A stand-up comedy showcase featuring local talent and special guest performers in Newcastle.
The Newcastle Comedy Club is running its showcase on Friday and Saturday nights, starting 25 September and continuing through to 30 January 2027. It's held at the Newcastle Comedy Club, 139 Maitland Road in Islington, a New York-style room in the heart of the city. The bill puts local talent from the Newcastle region alongside special guest performers travelling in from Sydney, Melbourne and beyond, so you'll get a mix of home-grown acts and names coming from interstate.
The club has a history of attracting major names in Australian comedy, including Wil Anderson and Tom Gleeson, and positions itself as the go-to destination for the hottest comedy shows in town. Because it runs every Friday and Saturday night for several months, you've got plenty of dates to choose from rather than just one single night.
