Montaigne: Glorious Heights 10th Anniversary Tour

Montaigne play the King Street Warehouse on Saturday 8 August, as part of a tour celebrating the 10th anniversary of their award-winning debut album, Glorious Heights. They'll be playing the record in full, with a few favourite songs from other eras added in around it, so it's a good chance to hear the whole thing from start to finish rather than just the singles.

It's been a decade since Glorious Heights came out, and the band has moved through a fair bit of ground since then. In 2025 they released it's hard to be a fish, the first independent, self-produced album of their catalogue. They've also put in a 31-date tour of Europe and the UK with Eurovision collaborator Daði Freyr, and picked up a Grammy nomination for their work with indie composer Austin Wintory. There's also 'Red Flags', their collaboration with Tom Cardy, which has run up over 64 million streams.

Between the debut and the newer stuff, the set should pull from a few different eras. The anniversary record takes centre stage, but the other songs will fill in the gaps, so you'll get a look at where they started and where they've gone since. If you've only known them from the later records, it's a way to hear the songs that started it all.

The show is at King Street Warehouse, 15 Steel St, Newcastle, on Saturday 8 August. Doors open at 8:00pm, and Montaigne are expected on stage around 8:45pm. Tickets are A$57 via Oztix.
