Stand-up comedy show by Lizzy Hoo, recommended for ages 15+.
Lizzy Hoo brings her new show Says Hoo? to the Civic Theatre Playhouse on Saturday 25 July, a full hour of stand-up that draws from the last few years of her life. If you've followed her work, you'll recognise the voice; if not, this is a good place to start.
Says Hoo? is built around the things that have been taking up her time and headspace lately. She's entered her bob era, shares custody of her rescue greyhound, Owen, and has developed a proper obsession with golf—which she describes as prepping for retirement. There's the personal side too: she recently broke up with someone at a cake shop and updated her dating profile to say 'big second wife energy'.
Outside the new show, she's been keeping busy on screen and in the studio. She's appeared on Have You Been Paying Attention? and Crime Night, and has been jet-setting across Asia as the voice and face of an airline. She also creates and hosts The Lizzy Hoo Show podcast, so there's plenty of material to pull from. Earlier this year, she picked up the Pinder Prize at the Melbourne Comedy Festival 2026, so she's coming into this run with some momentum behind her.
