Father's Day Luncheon Cruise

Nova Cruises is running a Father's Day luncheon cruise from 5 Honeysuckle Drive in Newcastle on Sunday 6 September, from 12:00pm to 2:30pm. It's a laid-back way to mark the day on Newcastle Harbour, with the boat sailing past the city's working port and along the foreshore.

On board, they're serving a buffet lunch of cold meats, fresh prawns, roast chicken, gourmet salads and dessert, and there's a free drink on arrival just for Dad. The whole thing is family-friendly, with a bar on board for those who want more than the welcome drink. If you're bringing the kids, the buffet format makes it easy to let everyone help themselves at their own pace.

It's a mid-day trip, so you're back on land by half-past two, leaving the rest of the afternoon free. The route takes you right through the heart of the harbour, so you'll see the working side of the port alongside the more picturesque foreshore.
