Musical based on Tim Burton's beloved film, following Lydia Deetz and a demon with a thing for stripes.
Beetlejuice is coming to Jackson Hall at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center from June 15 to 20, 2027. It's the musical based on Tim Burton's film, and it's playing a six-day run in Nashville.
The story follows Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. The show pairs an irreverent book with a score set in the Netherworld, and critics have called it "SCREAMINGLY GOOD FUN!" in Variety and "A FEAST FOR THE EYES AND THE SOUL!" in Entertainment Weekly. At its heart, it's a touching show about family, love, and making the most of every Day-O.
There are plenty of ways to catch it. From Tuesday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, the show runs at 7:30 PM. Saturday, June 19, is a double: a 2:00 PM matinee and a 7:30 PM evening performance. Sunday, June 20, has two more, one at 1:00 PM and another at 6:30 PM. If you're looking for a weekend slot, Sunday afternoon is the one to keep in mind: that performance offers open captioning and American Sign Language interpretation.
