Black metal show by Wolves in the Throne Room, with special guests Stygian Bough and Spirit Possession, at The Fine Line.
Wolves in the Throne Room play Fine Line on Monday, January 18, 2027, with Stygian Bough and Spirit Possession opening. The Olympia, Washington band calls themselves the heretics of black metal and the kings of USBM, and they're touring behind their latest record, Estuary, which came out October 23, 2026.
Estuary is set a thousand years after the end of civilization, in a world of post-apocalyptic religion, mutant creatures, and open portals. It's rawer and more volatile than their previous work, driven by massive percussion and seething gothic guitars. If you've followed them for a while, you'll recognize the atmospheric soundscapes they've built around the wild energies of the Pacific Northwest—the kind of immersive, sprawling music that sets them apart from traditional black metal. Two Hunters and Primordial Arcana are two of their most acclaimed albums, and Estuary continues that line while pushing into a more aggressive, percussion-heavy place.
Behind the sound are brothers Aaron and Nathan Weaver, along with Kody Keyworth and Galen Baudhuin. The lineup for the night puts them at the head of the bill, with Stygian Bough and Spirit Possession filling out the rest of the program. The show is at Fine Line, 318 N 1st Ave in the Warehouse District, inside the Consortium Building. The venue has been open since 1987.
