Experimental folk and environmental Americana concert by Humbird, led by Siri Undlin, with support from the folk duo Bad Posture Club.
Humbird plays Fine Line on Friday, November 13, with Bad Posture Club opening. The night is presented by The Current, and it's for ages 18 and up.
Humbird is the project of Minneapolis songwriter Siri Undlin, who works in experimental folk and environmental Americana. Her songs are built around storytelling and ethereal soundscapes that blend traditional folk with indie styles. She's a Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Award winner and has put out three albums: Right On, Still Life, and Morning When It Comes. Her debut, Pharmakon, reached millions of streams. She often collaborates with musicians like Pat Keen and Shane Leonard, and her writing draws on celestial and cosmic imagery, turning toward the body and the heart.
Opening the bill is Bad Posture Club, a Minneapolis folk duo made up of Maren Day and Morgan Kavanagh. Their songs look at home-places, landscapes, memory, family, and the strange relationship between the two.
