Exhibition by Tia-Simone Gardner, part of SooVAC's Front Space Residency, with an opening reception on December 5 and an accompanying Art Mart.
Tia-Simone Gardner opens Undivine Time at SooVAC on Saturday, December 5, from 6 to 9 PM. The exhibition runs from December 10 through January 17, with gallery hours Thursday and Friday 10 AM to 5 PM and Saturday and Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM. The show is part of SooVAC's pilot Front Space Residency, which throughout 2026 invites artists to create work both on-site and off-site.
Undivine Time compresses 365 days of lived experience, memory, and reflection into the exhibition's run. It asks what has been forgotten, what was actively or necessarily forgotten, and what we are bound to remember. The work seeks to reorient our understanding of temporality across multiple dimensions, weaving together human and more-than-human time, future and past horizons, and dark, uncataloged spaces. The title comes directly from the writing of Junauda Petrus.
