Turn Turn Turn, a Minneapolis trio of folk and alt-country with three-part harmonies, plays The Dakota.
Turn Turn Turn play The Dakota on Friday, December 4, starting at 7 PM. They're a Minneapolis trio that bonded over a shared love of 1960s and 1970s country, folk, and pop, and that's still where their sound lives. They started as a cover act before moving into original material, and they describe what they do now as alt-country folk-pop held together by three-part harmonies.
Two of the three are familiar names from the local scene: Adam Levy on guitar and vocals, and Barb Brynstad on bass and vocals. Both have been around the Minnesota music circuit for a while, and they're the ones leading the singing on the band's three-part harmonies. The whole thing sits right in that country-folk-pop pocket they've been working from since they started.
