Gritty, blues-infused rock 'n' roll from The Steepwater Band, with guests Mark Joseph and Nicholas David, at the historic Firehouse #21.
The Steepwater Band plays The Hook and Ladder on Thursday, December 10, with Mark Joseph and Nicholas David opening. The band is Jeff Massey, Joe Winters, Eric Saylors, and Joe Bishop, and they've been playing gritty, high-octane blues-infused rock 'n' roll since 1998. Their sound is rooted in Chicago blues and draws on the swagger of the Rolling Stones, the grit of Bad Company, and the fire of classic American rock.
They're sharing the bill with two of Minneapolis' most soulful talents. Mark Joseph is an acclaimed guitarist and singer-songwriter known for his work with The Big Wu and American Soul. Nicholas David is a soul singer and keyboardist who was a finalist on NBC's The Voice. Both are local names, so the night pairs a touring blues-rock act with two singers from right here in the city.
The venue is The Hook & Ladder, a fiercely independent, artist-driven, inclusionary multi-use center housed in the historic Firehouse #21 in South Minneapolis' Longfellow neighborhood. It's a 21+ show, so keep your ID handy.
