Minneapolis Americana and indie-folk quartet The Last Revel celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut album 'Hazard & Fate' with support from Wild Horses.
The Last Revel are playing the First Avenue Mainroom on Friday, January 15, 2027, with Wild Horses opening. The night is a celebration of Hazard & Fate, the band's debut album, which came out ten years ago in 2011.
It's a local connection that runs deep. The Last Revel are a Minneapolis-based Americana and indie-folk quartet whose songs draw on the realities of life in the Midwest. Guitarist Lee Henke and banjoist Ryan Acker met in college in Wisconsin and later crossed paths with fiddler Vinnie Donatelle in Minnesota; the band formed in 2011 and took its name from the idea of treating every show as if it could be the last. They've put in the miles, clocking around 200 shows a year in the past.
Hazard & Fate was their first record, and this show marks its tenth anniversary. Their second album, Dovetail, arrived in 2023 after a hiatus that stretched back to 2019. Their latest, Gone for Good, was produced by Dave Simonett of Trampled by Turtles.

Opening for them are Wild Horses, a dusty folk trio from Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Founding members Jed and Ariana met playing open mic nights at the local VFW and later married. After Jed broke his back and could no longer work construction, they gave up their house and toured in their 1989 Chevy van, which is how they produced their debut, Runaway.
Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM at First Avenue, 701 1st Ave N in Minneapolis.
