The Honeydogs, the original lineup of brothers Adam and Noah Levy, Trent Norton and Tommy Borscheid, return to The Parkway with their new album Algebra for Broken Hearts.
The Honeydogs return to The Parkway Theater on Friday, December 18, with their new album Algebra for Broken Hearts. It's the original lineup back together: brothers Noah and Adam Levy, Trent Norton on bass, and Tommy Borscheid on guitar. The show is all ages, presented by Parkway Theater, with a special guest still to be announced.
If you're not familiar with the name, they're a Minnesota band that's been around since Noah and Adam started it in 1994. They describe their sound as a mix of the country rock of the Flying Burrito Brothers, the punky energy of The Clash, and the swagger of The Rolling Stones. It's a wide net to cast, but that's the territory they've worked in for three decades.
Algebra for Broken Hearts is their first new album in nine years, and the first in 28 years to feature the original lineup. They recorded it in five days with collaborator and self-styled 'fifth Honeydog' John Fields, who has worked with Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, and Demi Lovato. With the original four back on stage, the set will draw from that new material alongside the older songs they've built their reputation on.
