Starbenders play 7th St Entry on Tuesday, February 16, 2027. They're an Atlanta rock-n-roll band fronted by singer and songwriter Kimi Shelter, with Aaron Lecesne on bass, Kriss Tokaji on guitar, and Qi Wei on drums. The band describes their sound as the love child of Johnny Thunders and Joan Jett, and it pulls from goth rock, post-punk, alternative, pop, and punk.
They've put out twenty-seven releases in ten years, which is a lot of ground to cover. Among them are the 2020 full-length Love Potions on Sumerian Records and the 2023 follow-up Take Back The Night. They've toured the world alongside Alice In Chains and Palaye Royale, so they're no strangers to the road.
The show is at 7th St Entry, the smaller room attached to First Avenue. It's been a performance space since 1980, when it took over the Greyhound Cafe area of the old Greyhound terminal. The night is 18+.
