Free election night watch party with live music from Lee Bains, The Silent Treatment and Eleganza!, tacos and drink specials.
The Hook and Ladder Event Center is hosting an election night watch party on Tuesday, November 3, called Rock the Results. The room will be wired for the returns, with TVs across the venue and a jumbo movie theater screen feeding the results to the crowd throughout the night. Tacos and drink specials will run the whole time, so you can settle in for the long haul.
The music leans on Minneapolis punk and Southern grit. The Silent Treatment plays raw, high-energy punk in the vein of their 2024 debut Suplex in 10!. Lee Bains comes in from Birmingham, Alabama, a songwriter and poet whom Rolling Stone called "Southern gospel punk." His music has backed striking coal miners, immigrants' rights groups, abortion funds, and anti-racism organizations. He's also due to publish his debut poetry collection, WORK LUNCH, through Hub City Press in the fall of 2026. Eleganza! brings swaggering rock 'n' roll where punk, country, soul, and barroom boogie collide; their album Water Valley High was named the Star Tribune's Best Local Record of 2022.
