Journalist Kara Swisher and NYU Professor Scott Galloway bring their tech and business podcast PIVOT to the stage for a live, one-night-only performance.
Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway bring their podcast, PIVOT, to the State Theatre on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 7:30 PM. It's a one-night-only show, and it's the podcast recorded live on stage.
If you've never heard it, PIVOT is the show where Swisher and Galloway take on the biggest stories in tech, business, and politics. They put out new episodes every Tuesday and Friday, and the whole thing is built on their chemistry: they make bold predictions, pick winners and losers, and spend a good chunk of the time bickering and bantering. That's exactly what they're bringing to the stage—the same unfiltered conversation, just in front of a live audience instead of behind microphones.
It helps to know who they are, because they come at these things from opposite ends. Kara Swisher is a veteran journalist who's been reporting on the tech industry since the early 1990s. She cofounded the technology website Recode, hosts On with Kara Swisher, and contributes to CNN. In 2024, she put out her memoir, Burn Book: A Tech Love Story. Scott Galloway is a professor of marketing at NYU's Stern School of Business and a serial entrepreneur who's founded nine companies, including Prophet, RedEnvelope, L2, and Section. He's also written several New York Times bestsellers: The Four, The Algebra of Happiness, Post Corona, Adrift: America in 100 Charts, The Algebra of Wealth, and Notes on Being a Man.
