Fifteenth edition of the Twin Cities experimental music showcase featuring six musicians and live improvised visual projections.
Noise Party returns to The Cedar Cultural Center on Friday, October 30, for its fifteenth edition. It's a showcase of experimental music that's become a Twin Cities fixture, pulling together independent artists from the metro area and beyond. This time around, six musicians take the stage alongside live improvised visual projections, with the whole night split into two continuous parts divided by an intermission.
The lineup for this one includes i once knew a ghost (Shane Donahue), Not Yet All Things, YYY (Austin Carson), and Dosh + Naoise (Martin and Naoise Dosh). That last name might be the most familiar to local ears: Dosh is a long-time Twin Cities staple, and here he's playing with Naoise Dosh. Between them and the others, you've got six performers on the bill, each bringing their own approach to the experimental side of things.
The venue is The Cedar, located in Cedar Riverside. It's a listening room that's spent decades as one of the area's most cherished spaces for global music and dance, which fits the bill here—Noise Party has built its reputation on highlighting independent artists from around the city and beyond, and this is its fifteenth outing.
