A nine-part family concert series with kid-friendly programming, interactive stations, and local music community performances, including a balloon artist and creative hair station.
Mae Simpson headlines Pillar Forum on Saturday, October 17, with Colin Bracewell and School Of Rock. It's part of the MNIVA Family Gathering Concert Series, a nine-part run of family-friendly shows put on by the MNIVA Free Family Concert Series. The whole series is built for all ages, with family-first sets, interactive moments, and creative stations at every stop. Each one takes place at a different independent Minneapolis venue, powered by the local music community and the City of Minneapolis.
Beyond the music, there's plenty to keep kids occupied while the adults listen. Every event includes a balloon animal artist and a creative hair station, plus coloring sheets, temporary tattoos, and stickers at the MNIVA table. There's food available onsite too, so you can make a whole morning of it without having to leave for lunch. The interactive stations are designed to be something the kids can dive into on their own terms, rather than just sitting through a set.
