Self-guided outdoor murder mystery game played through Loring Park, with the park's landmarks serving as clues, using the free Questo app.
Minneapolis Murder Mystery: Solve the Case! is a self-guided outdoor mystery that takes place in Loring Park, starting at Vineland Place. It's not a seated show or a timed event; you pick your own date and time when you buy your ticket, and once you have it, you can play any day of the week, at any hour. The whole thing is played through the free Questo app, which acts as your only guide: you'll use it to question suspects, crack alibis, and gather evidence as you go.
The case follows the fictional trail of Bella Wanderlust across about a dozen stops throughout the park, and the route runs some 1.5 miles of easy walking. Along the way, the park's own landmarks double as evidence, and you'll pass sights like Spoonbridge and Cherry. It usually takes between 60 and 120 minutes to finish, so it's a good length for a slow afternoon or a more brisk walk if you're in a hurry. The experience is pitched as something to play at sunset with friends, on a date, or as a team.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Minneapolis and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you head out. It's recommended for ages 14 and over, and younger players will need an adult with them. The game is played entirely outdoors, rain or shine, and it isn't wheelchair accessible. Since it's all on your phone, you'll want to make sure your battery is charged before you start. Tickets start at $10.
