Indie folk band Mary in the Junkyard performs their new single 'New Muscles' with special guest Lefty Parker at the historic 7th St Entry.
mary in the junkyard play the 7th St Entry on Tuesday, November 10, with special guest Lefty Parker. The band is coming off a new single and video, "New Muscles," which they put out ahead of the show.
On stage, the group is a multi-instrumental outfit: Clari-Freeman Taylor handles vocals, guitar, cello, viola, and violin; Saya Barbaglia plays bass, viola, violin, and sings backing vocals; and David Addison is on drums. With two members doubling on strings, the set has a lot of room to shift between guitar-led songs and more orchestral textures.
Opening the night is Lefty Parker, an Austin, Texas, songwriter who has been touring dive bars and halls across the country since 2019. The songwriter David Bixby has called him "a troubadour and a poet," and he's been on the road for seven years now, so he brings a fair amount of mileage to the bill.
