Grammy-nominated folk singer Mary Gauthier performs her new album 'Reckoning' with special guest Jaimee Harris at The Parkway Theater.
Mary Gauthier brings her Reckoning tour to The Parkway Theater on Thursday, November 5, with Texas singer-songwriter Jaimee Harris opening. Gauthier is a Grammy-nominated folk singer-songwriter and author, and the Wall Street Journal has called her one of Americana music's most admired artists.
The tour supports her new album, Reckoning, which came out September 26, 2026. It's a dense nine-song record she describes as personal, political and spiritual all at once. If you're not familiar with her name but know the songs, you might recognize her writing: "I Drink," "Mercy Now" and "Drag Queens in Limousines" have been recorded by Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Kathy Mattea, Boy George, Jimmy Buffett, Vince Gill and Bettye LaVette. Her work has also appeared in Yellowstone and ABC's Nashville.
Her 2018 album Rifles & Rosary Beads, co-written with wounded Iraq war veterans, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album, and she published the memoir Saved by a Song through St. Martin's Press. She's been honored by the Americana Music Association, the International Folk Music Awards, the Independent Music Awards, the GLAMA Awards and the UK Americana Association. Opening the night is Jaimee Harris, a Texas-born singer-songwriter whom NPR has called "the Next Queen of Americana-Folk."
