Low Cut Connie performs live at First Avenue, with special guest Fantastic Cat and DJ Kava.
Low Cut Connie plays the First Avenue Mainroom on Thursday, November 12, with Fantastic Cat and DJ Kava. The show is presented by The Current at First Avenue, the venue that's been the center of live music in Minneapolis since 1970.
Low Cut Connie is the rock & roll name of Adam Weiner, a Philadelphia artist who's been putting out records since 2010. He's released seven studio albums in that time, and this show comes on the heels of his eighth, Livin in the USA, which dropped on July 3, 2026. Between the new material and the older stuff, there's a fair amount of ground to cover.
Weiner's built a following that includes President Barack Obama, Sir Elton John, and Bruce Springsteen. His work has drawn acclaim from The New Yorker, which named him a 'Pandemic Person of the Year', as well as Rolling Stone and NPR's Fresh Air. He's appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's #PlayAtHome series, and PBS NewsHour, and he's written for SPIN, Billboard, and Talkhouse. In 2024, he released the award-winning documentary ART DEALERS.
