Cannabis-friendly 21+ stand-up and improv showcase hosted by Ira Ford, with twelve Midwest comedians and an audience vote by lit phones.
Light 'em Up The Bong Show takes over The Hook and Ladder on Sunday, October 18, starting at 7 PM. It's a cannabis-friendly comedy showcase that leans into Minnesota's cannabis culture by blurring the line between the stage and the crowd. Twelve Midwest comedians compete in a mix of stand-up and improv, and the room decides the winners by holding up lit phones. Local comic Ira Ford hosts and produces the night, teaming up with The Hook and a group of local partners: Retro Bakery, Smoke SuMN, TerpWolves, Zen Arcade, and Green Piece Minnesota.
The evening kicks off with a pre-show smoke-out on The Hook's patio, which they bill as the Twin Cities' largest cannabis-friendly patio. From there, the action moves inside, where the twelve comics trade sets of stand-up and improv. The lineup includes Tory Piano, Noah Mailloux, Felix The Cat, Troy Lee, Geordie Rogers, Daeron King, Dan Huso, Nick Piontek, Michael Collins, Patrick McShea, Marshall Loether, and Jeffery Flanagan. Since the winners are decided by the audience, you're as much a part of the night as the people on stage.

It's a 21+ show, so keep your ID handy. Tickets are $20 at the box office, $22 in advance online, and $25 at the doorβall-in pricing. Doors open at 8 PM, though the show starts at 7 PM, so if you're planning on that pre-show smoke-out, you'll want to get there early.
