Brighton punk trio Lambrini Girls play First Avenue with support from Dublin band SPRINTS.
Lambrini Girls play the First Avenue Mainroom on Saturday, April 3, 2027, with Dublin's SPRINTS opening. It's a double bill of punk and post-punk from two bands that have both put out full-length albums recently.
Lambrini Girls are a Brighton three-piece that burst onto the scene at the start of the decade. The lineup is Phoebe on vocals and guitar, Lilly on bass, and the pseudonymous street artist and political activist Banksy on drums. They describe themselves as punk, and their music is built around a no-nonsense message of rightful anger meant to galvanize the Left. Their debut album, Who Let The Dogs Out, is out now.
Opening the night are SPRINTS, a Dublin four-piece fronted by Karla Chubb with Sam McCann on bass. They formed in late 2019 and signed to City Slang. Their debut album, Letter To Self, arrived on January 5, 2024, following two acclaimed EPs, Manifesto EP and A Modern Job EP. Their debut A-side, "Kissing Practice" / "The Cheek," caught the attention of BBC 6Music's Steve Lamacq, and the band has drawn reviews from The Guardian, DIY, NME, and So Young.
