Jazz quintet led by Kenny Reichert plays Berlin on North 1st Street to celebrate the release of his new album 'Colours'.
Kenny Reichert leads his 5tet at Berlin on Saturday, Nov 14, for a set that celebrates the release of Colours, his new album on Calligram Records. Reichert is the guitarist and composer behind the group, and this is the record he's been working toward.
The lineup is a full quintet. Reichert is on electric guitar, joined by Russ Johnson on trumpet and Geof Bradfield on tenor saxophone, with Clark Sommers on upright bass and Devin Drobka on drums and cymbals. With two horns and a rhythm section, it's a complete ensemble rather than a small combo, and the set is built around the new material from Colours.
