Live music performance by Judah & The Lion with support from Breakfield at the historic First Avenue venue.
Judah & The Lion play First Avenue on Friday, October 16, with Breakfield opening. The show is in the Mainroom, 701 1st Ave N in Minneapolis.
At the center of Judah & The Lion is a story of a deeply loyal chosen brotherhood that goes back to 2011, when Judah Akers and Brian Macdonald first formed the group. They've been playing together for fifteen years now, and that long-running partnership is the core of everything they do.
Breakfield takes the opening slot. Formerly known as Boy Named Banjo, they're a Nashville-raised four-piece that blends Americana and folk-rock over a bluegrass foundation, telling their stories from an honest, roots-driven perspective. The band has been together in some iteration since its members were in high school and consists of Barton Davies on banjo and vocals, Ford Garrard on bass and standing bass, Sam McCullough on drums, and William Reames on acoustic guitar, harmonica, and vocals.
