Indigo Room: The Halloween Edition

Indigo Room: The Halloween Edition takes over The Hook and Ladder on Friday, October 30, with DJ KP, Sasha Bangzz and DJ Ibibaby on the decks. It's the Halloween version of Indigo Room, the signature DJ-led dance party from the Culture of Color Collective, which they root in Black queer joy. The night is for ages 21 and over.

As the name suggests, the music is the main event. The DJs will be spinning Hip Hop, R&B, Afrobeats and Amapiano, so it's a dance floor night rather than a seated show. The Halloween theme comes into play with a costume contest at 11:30 PM, which awards $1,000 in cash prizes split among three winners, presented by Freddie, North America's #1-rated PrEP provider. If you're planning to enter, you'll want to be there well before the contest starts.

The party is held at The Hook and Ladder Event Center, 3010 Minnehaha Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55406, on the theater stage. Doors open at 8:30 PM and the music starts at 9:00 PM, so you've got a half-hour window to get in and settle before the DJs take over. Tickets are $18 in advance at the box office, $20 in advance online, and $25 at the door—all of which include ticketing, facility, credit card processing, and sales tax fees.
