House music night with resident DJ Michael Grey and guest DJs Alexis Rose and TNA, featuring deep house, disco house and tech house.
House Sessions returns to Icehouse on Saturday, November 14, with resident Michael Grey joined by Alexis Rose and TNA. It's a DJ-led house night, and the music runs from 10 PM to 2 AM, with doors opening at 9 PM.
If the name sounds familiar, it's because House Sessions has a bit of a history here. It started as a pandemic-era Twitch stream run by Grey, then moved into live nights at Mortimer's with DJ JEN/E, before finding its current home at Icehouse. Grey holds the residency there, and the format is pretty consistent: he stays on as the anchor, and two guest DJs rotate in each quarter. For this one, Rose and TNA take the guest slots.
As for what they're playing, the organizers describe it as "house music for everyone." That's a broad tent, and the set reflects it: deep house, disco house, tech house, progressive house, and the distinct styles of New York, Detroit, and Chicago, plus remixes. It's a wide sweep of the genre rather than a narrow focus on one particular sound, so you'll hear a good bit of ground covered over the course of the night.
