Black Sabbath tribute concert by Bleak Sabbath Band with Halloween costume and Ozzy look-a-like contests at Shaw's Bar & Grill.
Bleak Sabbath is taking over Shaw's Bar & Grill on Saturday, October 31, for a Halloween night dedicated to the heavy riffs of Black Sabbath. They're the Twin Cities' premier Black Sabbath tribute, and they don't just stick to the early years. The set pulls from the whole run: the original Black Sabbath songs, the Ozzy years, and the Dio era, so you'll hear the different voices that have fronted the band over the decades. If you've only ever known the early stuff, it's a good chance to hear how the sound shifted when the lineup changed.
Since it's Halloween, the music isn't the only thing on the bill. There's a costume contest running throughout the night, and a separate Ozzy look-a-like contest for anyone who's spent their week assembling the wardrobe. Both have prizes up to $100 for first place, so if you've got a costume you've been waiting for an excuse to wear, this is a pretty good one. You can enter either or both, and the prizes go to the winners of each.
