Free guided tour of the Minneapolis Institute of Art exploring artworks by LGBTQ+ artists and pieces that reference queer identities and themes.
The Minneapolis Institute of Art is running a Pride guided tour on Tuesday, June 1, 2027. It's part of the museum's Public Tours program, which puts together themed tours and in-gallery conversations from Thursday through Sunday throughout the year. This one focuses on LGBTQ+ artists and works that reference queer identities and themes.
The tour works its way through the galleries, stopping at pieces by LGBTQ+ artists and at works that touch on queer identities and themes. It's a guided walk, so you'll be moving from one part of the museum to another rather than staying in one room. If you'd rather have a tour on your own terms, you can request a private one instead.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Minneapolis and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It runs from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, about an hour in total, and meets in the General Mills Lobby. The tour is free, and since it's part of the museum's regular public programming, it's one of the many ways to see the collection with a guide. If you're planning to be at the museum that day, it's a good way to spend an hour seeing a specific slice of the collection you might otherwise walk right past.
