A 21+ night of garage rock, glam rock, synthwave, pop punk and psychedelia with Golden Satellite, Killed By Kiwis and JuiceNeck.
Golden Satellite, Killed By Kiwis, and JuiceNeck play The Hook and Ladder Event Center on Saturday, November 14. It's a three-band bill that pulls from a few different corners of the rock world—garage, glam, synthwave, pop punk, and psychedelia—so the night moves through a fair amount of ground.
Golden Satellite is a Minneapolis alternative and hard rock band that draws on Mammoth, Foo Fighters, Deftones, and Green Day. Their debut album, Anywhere But Here, is out on streaming if you want to get a sense of their sound before the show. Killed By Kiwis is also from Minneapolis, and they pair a hard-hitting rhythm section and dazzling synths with soaring vocals. JuiceNeck comes from La Crosse, Wisconsin; they're a four-piece playing psychedelic hard rock and reggae fusion, and they're known for playing up to four hours of original and cover material.
The venue is The Hook and Ladder Event Center, also known as Zen Arcade, at 3010 Minnehaha Ave in South Minneapolis' Longfellow neighborhood. It's a fiercely independent, artist-driven, inclusionary multi-use space housed in historic Firehouse #21. The show is 21+.
