Fox and Bones

Fox and Bones play Crooners Lounge and Supper Club on Monday, October 26, with Haley Johnsen and Ambient Toad opening. The show is in The Belvedere at Crooners, and the music runs from 7:30 to 9 PM.

Fox and Bones are a Portland-based duo they call "post-yacht rock," and they've put in a fair amount of time on the road—over ten years and 200,000 miles. They've shared stages with Rayland Baxter, The Dead South, ZZ Ward, Fantastic Cat, ALO, and Glitterfox. Along the way they've picked up a few awards: first place in the 2023 Tucson Folk Festival songwriting contest, second place in the International Acoustic Music Awards, and Best Folk/Americana Album of 2024 from the PNW Music Awards.

Their most recent work came together after they split as a romantic couple. Songwriter and producer Greg Holden joined the project, contributing to their 2024 album Long Time Honey and to their fifth studio record, Are We Still Having Fun, which came out in September 2026. That one runs from retro folk rock to Bleachers-esque indie-pop and touches on technology, the modern political climate, anxiety, party culture, and mental health. When they aren't touring, they run Portland's Folk Festival, an annual folk and roots celebration hosted by the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, Oregon.

Doors open at 6:15 PM for dinner and drink service, so you can eat before the music starts. The bill is Fox and Bones with Haley Johnsen and Ambient Toad, and the set runs from 7:30 to 9 PM.
