Chamber-pop trio Follow the Firefly celebrate their debut album with guest Matt Wilson opening with a solo set at The Hook and Ladder.
Follow the Firefly are celebrating their debut album at The Hook and Ladder on Saturday, November 21. They're a Minneapolis chamber-pop trio of guitar, bass, harp and voices led by Phala Tracy, Natalie Nowytski and Scott Keever, and the new record came out on Pravda Records. Their set weaves together female-empowered singer-songwriter originals, musical haikus, Eastern European traditional music and the occasional cover, so it's a wide reach for one night.
Opening the bill is Matt Wilson, a Minneapolis musician known from Trip Shakespeare and the Twilight Hours. He's playing a solo set with a harp, banjo and electric bass combo he calls an orchestra. Between his opening and Follow the Firefly's headlining set, you'll hear a harp on both halves of the bill.
The show is at The Hook and Ladder Event Center, an independent, artist-driven, inclusionary, multi-use venue housed in historic Firehouse #21 in South Minneapolis' Longfellow neighborhood. It's 21+.

Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $20 at the box office, $22 online, and $25 at the door.
