The folk songwriter Dan Reeder performs with his daughter Peggy at The Cedar Cultural Center.
Dan and Peggy Reeder play The Cedar Cultural Center on Saturday, March 13, 2027. The show is presented by First Avenue.
Dan Reeder is a folk songwriter who's built a following as a live act alongside his daughter, Peggy. In autumn 2024 he released Smithereens, an album of sharp-witted, deeply human songs, and the duo spent the months that followed playing sold-out nights at AmericanaFest in Nashville and a sold-out West Coast tour. Last summer they appeared at the Newport Folk Festival, joining Jack Antonoff's Ally Coalition Talent Show set to perform "Maybe" alongside Waxahatchee and Weyes Blood, in a bill that also took in Hayley Williams, Jeff Tweedy, Rufus Wainwright and Maren Morris.
Reeder was personally signed by the late John Prine and remains the longest-running artist on Oh Boy Records, the label Prine founded. His fan base includes Phoebe Bridgers, Maya Hawke and Paul Mescal. The Cedar is a seated room known for its sightlines and acoustics, well-suited to artists who prioritize musicality and lyrical depth.
