Feeding Leroy and Stringdingers celebrate the release of their new albums with a night of country, bluegrass, americana and jam music.
Stringdingers and Feeding Leroy are teaming up at Icehouse on Friday, October 16, for a double release show. Both bands are celebrating new albums, and they're doing it together on one bill. The night runs across country, bluegrass, americana and jam, and since it's a release show, there will be vinyl and CDs of each record handed out to the crowd.
Stringdingers are a six-piece of multi-instrumentalists, vocalists and songwriters who play a modern blend of bluegrass and outlaw country. They're celebrating their fourth studio album, Crossroads. Feeding Leroy is the husband-and-wife duo of Lee and Sonja Martin, originally from Duluth, Minnesota. They started writing and performing in 2010 after leaving home and heading west, and they've put out two albums since then. They recently relocated to Texas, where they've added southern players to their sound. This show is a celebration of their new self-titled album.
Between the two acts, the evening covers a fair bit of ground: bluegrass, country, americana and jam music. With both bands releasing new material on the same night, you'll be hearing from both of them. And since it's a release show, you can walk away with the physical records — vinyl and CDs of each album will be available at the show.
