CD release show of the album 'Evidence' by Dismantlists, with instrumental post-rock and ambient guitar, plus special guests PRGRPHS.
Dismantlists play the Bryant Lake Bowl on Saturday, November 14, a CD release show for the album Evidence, which comes out the day before. The project is Steve Seel, who works guitar and manipulations into an evening of instrumental post-rock and ambient guitar. He'll be joined by special guests PRGRPHS.
Evidence drops on November 13, so the show is the first chance to hear the new material live. The set is instrumental, built around Seel's guitar and the manipulations he runs it through, and it sits in that post-rock and ambient territory where the focus is on texture and mood rather than songs in the traditional sense. PRGRPHS open the night.
The venue is the Bryant Lake Bowl and Theater, a room in the heart of Minneapolis that seats about 85 people. It's an intimate space with a 9' x 22' stage that has hosted a wide range of acts, from the holiday favorite A Very Die Hard Christmas to artists like Dan Wilson, The Civil Wars, Jeremy Messersmith and Soccer Mommy. General admission applies with no assigned seats, and the full restaurant and bar menus are served inside the theater, so you can eat and drink while you listen.
