Die Spitz live in concert with special guest Faetooth at First Avenue.
Die Spitz play the Mainroom at First Avenue on Friday, November 6, with Los Angeles three-piece Faetooth opening. Die Spitz comes from Austin, Texas, and their sound sits at the crossroads of grunge, punk, rock and alternative — they describe it as emerging when passion, friendship, identity and artistry collide. Their debut album, Something to Consume, came out September 12 on Third Man Records, and they've since put out the single "Throw Yourself to the Sword."
Faetooth takes the early slot. They're a three-piece from Los Angeles that calls its sound "fairy doom," fronted by Ari May on guitar and vocals, Jenna Garcia on bass and vocals, and Rah. Between the two acts, the night covers a fair bit of ground: Die Spitz's grunge-punk leanings and Faetooth's doom-inflected approach.
